Installing Windows 7 on the Dell m1330

After I had worked with XP and Vista for quite some time it was time to move on to the next level: Windows 7.

Installation of Windows 7 was pretty much straight forward and without an trouble, excluding the graphic card in the m1330 and the touchpad drivers.

For the graphic card I downloaded the driver directly from NVIDIA, here.

This will give you a handy installer. After installation and a reboot your graphic in the Dell XPS m1330 will work perfectly with Windows 7.

Installing the touchpad driver on the m1330

The official Dell driver for the m1330 touchpad don’t seem to work correctly. After downloading the drivers directly from Synaptics, the manufacturer of the touchpad the touchpad will work under Windows 7!
